Michigan State University – Hockey
MUNN ARENA | HOCKEY PERFORMANCE CENTER
Michigan State University proudly displays its Spartan spirit in the Munn Ice Arena, where athletic excellence meets innovation in facility design. As part of a major 35,000-square-foot renovation, the university placed a strong emphasis on creating a safe, high-performance training space for its elite hockey athletes—a commitment exemplified by its selection of REGUPOL aktivpro roll flooring.
This premium rubber flooring system spans a dedicated 3,200-square-foot training area, delivering the support, durability, and impact resistance required for the demanding workouts of collegiate hockey. Integrated inlaid crash platforms provide essential stability and shock absorption for weightlifting, plyometrics, and explosive movement training, ensuring athletes can train at full intensity while minimizing the risk of injury and reducing wear on equipment.
The university’s decision to install REGUPOL reflects more than just a commitment to quality—it’s a statement about the value Michigan State places on athlete performance, longevity, and well-being. The material’s superior resilience and low-maintenance design make it ideal for high-traffic training environments, standing up to daily use without compromising safety or aesthetics.
With customizable design elements, Michigan State was able to incorporate iconic Spartan branding directly into the flooring, creating a space that not only performs exceptionally but also inspires team pride and unity. This thoughtful integration of function, form, and identity reinforces Michigan State’s position as a leader in collegiate athletics, providing student-athletes with the tools and environment needed to thrive both on and off the ice.
